NCAA Clearinghouse

If a high school student-athlete wishes to participate in athletics at an NCAA Division I or II institution, they must be certified by the NCAA Eligibility Center. The student-athletes must register with the Eligibility Center. Go to www.ncaaclearinghouse.net and click on “Prospective Student-Athletes” to start the process. Transcripts need to be sent twice by the high school: once after the student-athlete finishes at least six semesters of high school, and again, after the student-athlete graduates. The student-athlete must bring his transcript release forms to the counseling office in order for the school to send the transcript.

SEASON: Winter

DATE OF TRYOUTS: There are three times during the year where the coaching staff has an opportunity to evaluate students who are interested in joining our program:

If you are going to be playing a Fall sport, attending is extremely beneficial as the tryout period in November is very short and will take place while our season has already begun. This is an optional class. More information is located below.
• Early October: A mandatory tryout for all students who do not play a Fall sport. Participation is required even if you take the summer class. Check the school bulletin during the school year for the actual dates.
• Middle of November: A mandatory tryout for students who participate in football or cross-country in the Fall.
