Cal Grant and GPA Verifications for 2008 seniors

Changes in Federal Financial Aid Procedures

In January many of you will be applying for Financial Aid by submitting the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form.  If your student will be applying to a California School, he/she will also submit a Cal grant GPA Verification Form.

This year the Torrance Unified School District will be submitting Cal Grant information electronically to the California Student Aid Commission.

West High has been collecting GPA verification forms from seniors since last year.  If your student did not complete and return the form, you may go onto the CSAC website at www.csac.ca.gov and print out a paper form and bring it to the Counseling office for signature, and then mail it to CSAC.

For those who will be submitted electronically, they can establish a WebGrant check account by logging into https://mygrantinfo.csac.ca.gov after they receive their Student Aid Report (SAR) from the government acknowledging receipt of their FAFSA form and request review of the information submitted.

Any questions may be directed to the Counseling office.
